SHSU experienced an Internet outage from approximately 3:00 am until 5:00 am this morning, 10/23. IT@Sam is investigating the root cause of this outage, however, we wanted you to be informed in the event that this outage caused any issues for your students or processes during that time. Friday, February 22
- 6 p.m. – Workstation Patches will be released that includes an update for Internet Explorer for all Windows workstations. Please be sure that you save all work and log out before leaving for the weekend.
- 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. ResHall Network will be intermittently unavailable due to the installation of new switches. Outages should not last more than one hour.
- 9 p.m. – 10 p.m. – ODS will be reloaded during this time. Please do not run any COGNOS reports during this time. This will be a recurring update scheduled for the last Friday of each month.
Friday, March 1
- 6 p.m. – Saturday, March 2 1 a.m. – The Banner ERP system will be upgraded during this time and all ERP services (Nell, SamWeb, My Sam, Banner SSB, and Banner INB) will be unavailable.
On Saturday 2/9/2012 between 12:00am and 6:00 am, LEARN our internet provider will be performing maintenance. During this time, we will experience an approximate 30 minute network outage which will affect the entire campus.
IT@Sam would like to make sure that you are aware of system maintenance that will be occurring over the next few weeks.
On November 16, starting at 6 p.m. and concluding about 8 p.m., our networking staff will be changing out switches in the AB4, Farrington, and Lowman Student Center buildings. There will be intermittent outages in each of these buildings and will last no more than about 20 minutes total for each. The outage will not affect the entire building.
On November 26, starting at NOON and concluding at 2 p.m., the Ad Astra system will be upgraded. During this time you will not be able to make or request room reservations.
On November 30, starting at 6pm and concluding at approximately 3 a.m. on December 1, the Banner ERP system will undergo upgrades. During this time, Banner INB and SSB will be unavailable.
On December 18, starting at 6 p.m., the SHSU website template will be changed. There should be minimal, if any, downtime.
