Testing Outdoor Sirens Today

Sam Houston State University is installing a new outdoor warning system today (January 12), which consists of 10 strategically placed sirens that will be used as an additional component to warn the university community in the event of an emergency. At least four of the sirens are being tested this afternoon.

When you hear the sirens, please remember that this is only a test, and you should take no action. Additional information about the system and scheduled tests will be available later this month.
