Beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015, Entergy, our electrical supplier, will require a total electrical outage at our campus facilities to perform important repairs to the main sub-station on the north side of campus. This outage should last about 5 hours, ending at noon.
To protect your computing resources, IT@Sam strongly suggests that, before leaving for the day or week, to save all your work, log off, and shut down your computer(s). We also recommend that you turn off or shut down any peripheral computing equipment (such as printers, scanners, etc.). Should you have any issues when you return to work, please contact the Service Desk (4-HELP; firstname.lastname@example.org; support.shsu.edu) for assistance. The Service Desk will also open early following the Memorial Day holiday at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, if you need to report any issues.
