Login changes are coming for Banner for all SHSU faculty, staff, and student employees. It is important that you take action now and enroll by tomorrow, July 13, to avoid access delays.
How to Enroll
1. Download Duo Mobile app from Duo Security, Inc. (Google Play or Apple App Store).
2. Enroll from your desktop computer.
What Are the Changes?
SHSU is implementing two-factor authentication to Banner to increase security by requiring a second device (like your smartphone) to verify your identity. This prevents anyone from logging in to Banner, even with a compromised password.
You will be prompted for two-factor authentication for the first Banner program that you access (on and off campus) once every 7 days.
For additional information, visit http://www.shsu.edu/duo or view the Duo Guide to Two-Factor Authentication.
Should you have any questions, concerns, or trouble enrolling, please contact the IT@Sam Service Desk.
On Saturday, August 12, 2017, beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding at 5:00 p.m., the network will undergo maintenance in several buildings across campus (see list below). This maintenance will cause a service outage. The service outage is expected to last 2 hours, but could potentially last the entire maintenance window. During this outage, access to resources such as phone, e-mail, banner, blackboard, My Sam, and S drives will be unavailable in the buildings affected. Please save your work often or make appropriate plans around this scheduled maintenance.

The notification icon changes color or displays a number, depending on the type and app, for new notification. To view the notifications, click on the icon and the notifications will display. Depending on the type of notification, an action may be needed to clear the notification.
Options in Settings allows the user to personalize certain features of Windows 10, such as the notifications, desktop background, colors, etc. To access Settings, select the Settings tool from the Start menu.
